Panasonic Rx-dt75 Service Manual

so i dug out my dt75 out of storage with the genius notion of hooking it up to an iphone
turns out that in order to access the auxiliary setting you need the remote
this remote is somewhere inside the storage unit and at at his point i would probably have better luck finding osama in the mountains of pakistan
just came back from radio shack today with a shiny new universal remote and spent an exciting 45 minutes cycling through the listed codes with negatory results
also let the remote use the internal [strike]'auto search'[/strike] 'waste of time' feature for 20 minutes with exactly the same results, so
anyone know the remote control code for this old boy?
is it listed anywhere in the product manual or the service manual?
has anyone figured out or hacked a workaround for the need to use the remote set the unit to aux?
also, while we are here
has anyone plugged in a record player to the aux?
does in need a phono preamp in between if the record player does not have an internal unit?
